If you are looking for a place to go in La Rioja to spend the day, today we are going to recommend you to go to Haro. This municipality, located in La Rioja Alta, is one of the leading towns in terms of Rioja wine production, and it also has an interesting urban and architectural offer.

Restaurant El Claustro of the Hotel Los Agustinos

One of the most emblematic places to eat in Haro is the restaurant El Claustro, in the Hotel Los Agustinos. Although its name doesn't really say that much, the hotel is located in an ancient convent more than six centuries old. the dining room is located in what used to be the old cloister.

Its wood-fired oven is one of the most famous in the region and its traditional menu can make the most carnivorous diners' mouths water thanks to its complete offer with black pudding, roast peppers, stew and baked lamb. The Beethoven restaurant is one of the classic restaurants in the centre of Haro. In fact, it is also an attractive place to stay for those who want to spend the night in a good location. Located just a few metres from Haro Town Hall, this is a perfect alternative for anyone who is going to spend a few days in La Rioja and wants to get to know its gastronomy in depth, as at Restaurante Vega you will find such popular dishes of La Rioja cuisine as Rioja-style potatoes, pickled partridge or lamb roast.

Asenjo's Corner

Located in one of the liveliest areas of Haro to go out for pinchos, "La Herradura", in this place you can try a wide variety of tapas, pinchos and portions accompanied by a glass of good wine. It is one of the busiest places in Haro to enjoy a fun atmosphere and an informal meal. Patatas bravas, cazuelitas or grilled mushrooms are just some of the most typical tapas in this corner.
