Vivanco Brunes is the new VINO DE MUNICIPIO (Village wine) by Rafael Vivanco, made with choice grapes from two plots of estate-owned vineyards that the Vivanco family tends in the Briones terroir employing ORGANIC VITICULTURE character of this unique municipality in Rioja Alta, marked by the great diversity Atlantic climate.
Two very limited wines (one white and one red) under the new DOCa Rioja Viñedo Singular category (exceptional vineyard) and inspired by a small historical spot called La Isla (The island), located on the geographical limits of Briones, San Asensio and San Vicente de la Sonsierra villages (in the heart of Rioja Alta), where Bodegas Vivanco owns and cultivates two different but very close plots, planted in 1973 and grown under organic certification, representing the ultimate expression of this unique and singular location.
"This collection of wines represents my personal challenge of sharing the passion of my family for La Rioja and the Wine Culture. So I have produced wines in very limited productions that disclose unique expressions of the traditional, native, minority varieties of Rioja, through a selection of plots in our vineyards located in a privileged terroirs that will show the full potential of each variety.
